Lori: Hi, my name is Lori Johnstone, and I’m a Deaf Skills Specialist. I’m also Peer Advocate with the Northeast Recovery Learning Community.

Rob: Hi, my name is Robert Duff, and I’m also a Deaf Skills Specialist here at Northeast Independent Living Program.

Krista: I’m Krista Brown. I’m the staff interpreter, and I work with Lori and Rob.

Lori: The DHILS program provides services for deaf, hard of hearing, and late deafened individuals. We provide advocacy, peer counseling, skills training, information and referral, help getting assistive technology, and we also host workshops about a variety of topics. NILP and the DHILS program also host social events such as holiday parties, open houses, picnics, etc.

Deaf Parents Support Group

When: Last Tuesday of the Month beginning on February 26th, 2013

Time: 11am—1pm

What: Deaf parents get together to learn how to improve their relationships with children. Attend workshops, group activities, going out in the community.

Bring your own brown bag lunch.
